Dear Dave,
I ordered a booth a while back from one
of your competitors and I need to
replace it. The booth is roughly 110
square feet and they sold me the unit
with a recreational vehicle (RV) style
roof mounted air conditioner, and a 4000
watt wall mounted heater. I am located
in Arizona and that air conditioner
cannot handle our summer, or winter.
Will your proposal to me include the
same type of HVAC.
Dear Mr. Fried
in Phoenix,
I understand your situation, I see many
specifications with RV style air
conditioners, and simply scratch my
head. We almost never provide RV style
air conditioners, while they do work
well in some cases, a 110 square foot
booth in your climate, or virtually all
US climates should have a commercial
roof mounted HVAC, or split system. Our
proposal will include a HVAC with at
least 23,000 BTU heating and cooling,
and we will make sure the booth is
properly insulated, including dual pane
insulating glass.
Dear Dave,
I have a booth that is used for high
volume cashiering. My booth has an
aluminum slide door, and aluminum
sliding windows. My attendant slides the
door and\or window probably 100 times a
day. I am constantly having to adjust
and replace the rollers for these items.
I need a new booth, do you have any
other options.
Dear Sir,
About 15 years ago we decided to make a
change, as our customers were
complaining about the same issues in our
booths. We now exclusively provide a
commercial steel framed door, top hung
by eight 2 1\4” steel ball bearing
rollers, in a commercial upper steel
trace with lower stainless steel guide,
stainless steel pull handle and
commercial lock. Even better, All of our
slide windows are also made by us, they
are commercial steel framed with
commercial roller track system,
stainless steel sill, welded stainless
steel pull handles and commercial lock.
You can now slide your doors and windows
1000 times a day for years of
maintenance free use.
Dear Dave,
My Architect specified your Ocean Park
style Guard Booth, when the job was
completed, I was surprised to see a
booth from another manufacturer. The
wall panels were specified to have a
Architectural X pattern stamped into
them. The booth I received had bars
welded to the outside for the X, is that
how you do it?
Dear Sir,
I’m sorry to hear this and thank you for
specifying B.I.G. Enterprises, Inc. To
answer your question, No. We actually
take that galvanized steel wall and use
our Press Brake to stamp the X pattern
into the wall panel itself, before it is
welded to the frame. We constantly see
manufacturers trying to copy our
designs, which we are flattered by, but
the end results are never the same.
